The Llechwedd Slate Workshop is based in an original quarry building and we have been working in here since 1852. Eirian (pictured) and the rest of the team have been working here at Llechwedd for a number of years.
We make everything from slate table mats and coasters to wine racks – yes, slate wine racks – and even plant pots. One of the most popular things is to have a slate nameplate or number made for your home and you can even order one in the morning before heading off on a tour and then collect it in the afternoon before leaving.
